I have the first MPFC series on DVD. I am seriously wearing out the pause button...mmm, Michael wearing karate suit and defending himself against fresh fruit...Where was I? Oh, right. Anyway, on the close-ups in the dead parrot sketch, you can get a really good view of his eyes. They are very green. Very VERY green. Mmm, Michael looking all innocent in dead parrot sketch...man, I'd better stop typing before I embarrass myself more. Just wanted to post something. Tah tah!

...Holy Grail Special Edition. Not only are the extras great (esp. the BBC Film Night docu with a cute Michael seen napping in the grass near the end), but the picture is really sharp and clear... in the castle anthrax scene where the doctors go to "examine" Galahad, the closeups of his petrified face are just precious. And yes, the eyes do look very green, tee hee.

I use instead my VCR. DVD players are very expensive in New Zealand. I only have two videos with Michael, Around the World In 80 Days and Pole to Pole. I've ordered more from Amazon and I'm now waiting very impatiently.

TGB, are you new or are you just an "old" member in disguise?
Now we also have a DVD player, but at home in Austria and not here in London - great!  But the DVD's are so damn expensive. Anyway, I'm sure I come back home with a Holy Grail DVD - that's for sure! And does anybody have the Life of Brian DVD? There is no extra stuff, is it? |

I'm new, you're not hallucinating. If you want more info on me, I'm in that "new members" folder thingy. I borrowed the Holy Grail DVD from a friend and saw all of the extras, but I didn't catch Michael napping in the grass. Drat. I might have to buy the DVD for myself so I can try to find that...oh. Wait. I'm broke. Never mind! The "How to Use Your Coconuts" bit was hilarious! I love watching them pretending to ride horses...yeah. Maybe in a few years I'll be able to afford a VHS...

yes I have the Life of Brian dvd.The Criterion collection version. That has extras like a trailer & radio commercials. Eric, Terry G, and John got their mothers to make the radio commercials. Mike got his dentist. But my favorite is the short documentary -'The Pythons'-that was done while they were filming the movie.
yes, dvd's are expensive. i saved up quite a bit to get mine. |
