I'm popping in to say 'Yay....i got to go to a book signing!'. I drove 9 hrs to Chicago (AND back through lvoely ice storms, sleet and freezing rain by my own little self) to be there and was rewarded with TWO booksignings and a talk. Lovely! Pity that I was so shy and nervous that I had very little to say. I organized a group of girls from Palins Travels to meet in Chicago and we had a glorious time. A couple of them brought the most interesting things to sign. I'm just a little sad because I made NO impression on the man whatsoever and didn't say ANY of the things I wanted to (I didn't even have the courage to shake his hand!). I feel previledged to have met him and am happy with my memories (and autgraphed books and picture!). He DID say I was a good 'Mother Hen' to my little gaggle of girls that I had with me.
Why am I here after such a long time? Because MissFiggus, you're a legend with some of these gals. They gasp and say 'You met HER?' when I mention that I've met 'the one that went to his house'. Pretty funny, you are famous!!!! Now, where are his offices at? I know the house (and NEVER even went to the street of his home per your request....it was just nice to be in his little neck of London when I was there), but wasn't aware that he even kept an office in London. i guess I assumed that he did most of his work at larger production studios or out of his home.
As for theSahaara series....did anyone catch the first episode? There's a nakey Mikey! He is.....quite fit. Lord, if only I was born 30 yrs. earlier, in Shefield and had beat Helen to the punch! Now....about his sons

It was lovely! I was hardly paying attention to what Michael was saying, actually - too busy looking at him. 
He even took off his clothes for his nice cold "shower". Whee! It was lovely (yes, I must say it again). *sigh* I shall be sure to watch it every week until it is all over, and then I will cry, cry, cry.
